REASONS TO BUY REAL WOOD PRODUCTS FROM DOWN TO EARTH WOOD.

Buying real wood furniture manufactured by A & B Furniture, Inc. helps you get the “most out of what you buy”. It is made to last generations with such details as dovetail drawers and screw pocket design. If there is a need to repair a part of the furniture the screw pockets allow most parts to be replaced. The real wood allows you to touch up damage to the finish or even dents in the wood. With real wood you can even change the finish color and give the piece a whole new look and feel.

Nothing lasts forever. The things we buy today will eventually become waste in the future. Here are some questions to ask before you buy to protect your investment and prevent wasting time and money.

What does it really cost? The purchase price is not the same as the cost to use and maintain a product. The longer you own something, the less it costs over time.

Can I repair or upgrade it? Buying products that are easy to repair or improve will make your initial investment last longer.

Down To Earth Wood and A & B Furniture, Inc. strive to make the least environmental impact as possible. Our showroom uses natural sunlight with our south facing windows whenever possible. We recycle everything possible that enters our business. Product is shipped with cardboard for packaging, so please recycle it. And if you pick up product at our showroom, bring some blankets to wrap the furniture. Any finished products have a water based stain and top coat applied. We buy material from as many local sources as possible.

Better by design:  Creating products with the environment in mind

Reducing waste and pollution isn't just a consumer decision. In fact, the amount of harmful chemicals a product uses and the trash it creates or turns into during its useful life is mostly determined when it's still just an idea inside a designer's brain. Manufacturers are embracing design for the environment (DfE) — designing products and manufacturing methods that reduce environmental impact from the ground up.
